  Fees considered forSan Francisco live-'work' lofts -- Thousands of people who own live-work lofts in San Francisco have been using them exclusively for housing, an act that puts them in technical violation of city law. For years, no one at City Hall seemed to mind, but that may change soon. Supervisor Sophie Maxwell is talking about proposing a new law in the coming months that could impose fees on loft owners, but only on those who hope to get something in return.
